Design Challenge
The goal of this project was to create awareness for the Keahi University, through the creation of a new mascot, logo, and catalog.  Re-brand Keahi University as a university that excels in learning, sports, and the arts, as well as supporting the inclusion of all cultures throughout the Pacific. We will sell university products by creating a logo that supports the desire of students, and by creating a brand that they love to wear as a way to support their school. A secondary goal is to increase attendance through re-branding, which promotes the attributes the Keahi University exhibits through the logo and catalog design. 
Creative Solution
The design of the Keahi University logo and catalog began with the research of its founders the Keahi family.  Keahi means fire, so I chose to incorporate the creation of the lands through lava. The green and brown shades are intended to represent the lush tropical land of Hawai'i, which came out of the creation, and the navy blue hues of the products represent the deep ocean surrounding it. The use of Polynesian type on the cover of the catalog brings the viewer back to the history of the Pacific islands, reminding them of their roots and exploration of their ancestors.
